   Hi Stacey!
   
   My name is Mary Lee and my son Michael is also in Platoon 3108! I read your comment that you found a pic of your son and was wondering where you found it. My husband and I have been combing the pics and haven't found any of 3108 yet. It would be great to see a pic of Mike! Thanks for your help!

   I sent you an email. I will be giving you a call later this week. I hope all is well. Nick is in the hospital with pneumonia. We recieved a call and a letter from him. He is in good spirits and resting. The bad news is that he will be graduating later than Dec 4. They make him pick up were he left off. He will also change platoons. Please say Eddie hasn't caught any cold or anything. I hear its common.

   How's Eddie doing? I know you are getting a steady flow of letters by now. I have received several.....it's sounds extremely hard to handle the things they are going through but I put my trust in the Lord to see them through!! Let me know how things are going.

   Yes, I'm really sorry to make you worry. I'm still recovering from surgery and adjusting to being at work full time again. LLike a ninny I also signed up to go back to school. I got my first real letter from Nick; he sounds like he is trying to be tough but he hasnt completely adjusted yet. It sounds like things are really hard for them but the DI's know what they are doing. I have to trust their system. How is Eddie? How are you doing? Our boys aren't in the same platoon. Nick's in 3106. If you haven't already, don't make plans for Halloween. We are having a big party we want you to come.

   I see you just got your motorcycle license. You go girl. I got mine 4 years ago. It was one of the best things I ever did. I really enjoy it. If it were warmer when the kids graduate I would have ridden it down. What do you ride. Me, Custom deluxe harley Davidson. From the pic, you have a good looking son. I am sure our kids will get to know each other. There are two other boys my son went to school with who are in the same platoon. Two of them made a pact when they were just in Jr. High to join the USMC. I always thought they were joking around until their Jr. Year in High School. The subject of USMC came up and that is when I knew they were not joking around. Wow, what a roller coaster. Well enough for now. Take care and please keep in touch.

   Nice to "meet" you as you know we are from Ohio too, yes I got my motorcycle license (with my son) but recently wrecked LOL but am ok, I was riding his Know Eliminator but my hubby and I have a Harley Fatboy and love it! Is your sons last name Mendoza?
